I offer play therapy and sand tray therapy to young children (ages 4 and older), and I use Cognitive Behavioral, family systems, insight-oriented, and reality therapy approaches with older children and teens. Therapy with these age groups includes teaching parents and guardians behavior management strategies, as well as how best to support your child’s growth and amplify his or her strengths through a combination of love and limits.  I use a multidisciplinary approach in which care is coordinated as needed with medical professionals, schools, and clients’ family/support system. I help children and teens navigate the developmental stage they are in, learn self-control and communication skills, work through painful life experiences, and come to value themselves and others as they develop greater self-awareness. I consider it a sacred duty to be entrusted to work with people’s children, and I believe that even young children have an inner wisdom that can be developed. 

 I offer individual therapy to adults, using a combination of tailored approaches, including cognitive behavioral, insight-oriented, mindfulness, supportive, family systems and strengths-based therapies. I believe that both reverence and humor are necessary as we do this challenging work. We can focus on present concerns or delve into the past, and work together on a short- or long-term basis, but either way I am likely to suggest some new thoughts and actions for you to consider.  Together we will shine a light into the darkness so you can face and release whatever has been keeping you stuck.  Clients may request EMDR therapy, which promotes rapid recovery from simple or complex trauma and other issues, and/or Clinical Hypnotherapy to address stubborn negative behaviors and thoughts you wish to change.  I use a multidisciplinary approach in which care is coordinated as needed with medical professionals and clients’ family/support system.  I wish the highest and best for all, and I would like to help you determine what that is for you and how we can get you there.
